Shortlisted Poco M4 Pro and Redmi Note 11 phones but don’t know which device to buy? Here, we have shared the differences and similarities between the Poco and Redmi Note series phones so that it doesn’t take much time for you to figure out which mobile is right for you.
POCO M4 Pro vs Redmi Note 11
Poco is a sub-brand of Xiaomi. If you don’t know, Xiaomi has launched over 8 phones in the POCO series. M4 Pro is the latest phone in the series. Redmi Note series mobiles have made Xiaomi a leading smartphone brand in India and many parts of the world. Note 11 is the newest mobile in the Note series. You can buy one of these two mobiles for 13000 to 15000 Rs. There’s only a difference of 500 Rs between the price of the two mobiles of the same configuration (4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB).
Note 11 phone’s camera unit doesn’t have the Xiaomi branding, while that of Poco boasts the “designed by Poco” text. It has a 50MP, 8MP, 2MP, and 2MP back camera. M4 Pro flaunts 50MP and 8MP rear cameras. The 8-megapixel camera in M4 Pro and Note 11 has FOV 119-degree and an F2.2 Aperture. The primary camera of the two phones i.e. 50 MP unit, has an F1.8 Aperture. Another thing common between these two phones in the camera department is the camera resolution text. Next to the camera unit, you’ll find the “50 MP” text.
Note 11 and M4 Pro don’t have a side front camera. The 13MP front camera of Note 11 and the 16-megapixel front camera of Poco is located at the top center of the phone’s screen.
M4 Pro features a MediaTek SoC, and the Note 11 phone has a Qualcomm processor. It comes with a Dimensity 11 octa-core 6 Nm processor and Mali G57 GPU. Like M4 Pro, Note 11 features a 2.4 GHz 6 Nm processor. The processor in this phone is Snapdragon 680, and the GPU is Adreno 610.
Display, battery, and storage
M4 Pro has a 0.17-inch bigger display than Note 11. It boasts a 6.6-inch display, whereas the Note 11 phone has a 6.43-inch display. The display of the two phones has a 2400 x 1080 pixel screen resolution, a touch sampling rate of up to 240 Hertz, and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The display is based on AMOLED technology, and according to the Corning website, it is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Both smartphones of Xiaomi come with a 33-watt fast charger and have a 5000 mAh battery. You can expect the battery to get charged by 100% within 1.5 hours. The phones also have UFS 2.2 64GB or 128GB storage memory and LPDDR4X 6GB/4GB RAM. You can increase the storage by up to 1TB with a MicroSD card.
Dimensions, OS, and design
Note 11 is a slimmer and lighter phone than Poco M4 Pro. It also runs on the newer version of MIUI i.e. version 13. This phone’s weight and thickness are 179 grams and 8.09 mm, while that of the M4 Pro are 195 grams and 8.75 mm, respectively.
The POCO series phone runs on MIUI 12.5 operating system. Both variants of MIUI we’ve shared here are based on Android 11.0 OS. Many people who buy a 10k+ phone expect their phone to be robust. None of the two phones have a metal body. However, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 will protect the most crucial part of the phone i.e. the display, from scratches, drops, etc. Another exciting thing about the two Xiaomi branded phones is that M4 Pro and Redmi Note 11 are available in 3 different color options i.e. 3 color variants of RN11 and M4Pro are available for purchase (6 colors).
Closing words: As you can see above, many things in the Poco/Redmi phones are similar. Redmi is a stronger brand than Poco but one thing that makes M4 Pro a better phone is its support for 5G connectivity. If you don’t care about 5G, you can buy M4 Pro because it has a better selfie camera i.e. 16MP.
